Diversity
Working in a Diverse Workforce
This intensive workshop gives participants an opportunity to gain fundamental awareness, knowledge, and skills to work effectively with people who differ from them. It explores our own cultural influences and heritage, the dimensions of diversity, language usage, stereotypes, collusion, power and privilege in systems, organizational culture, and barriers to an inclusive organization.
Going Along To Get Along: Collusion At WorkWhen people don’t speak up or intervene to stop unfair or inappropriate behavior of others, they passively collude; when they join in, they actively collude. Exercises and discussion allow participants to examine a definition of collusion, how collusion relates to values, how collusion may be played out at work, the risks and benefits of avoiding collusion, and realistic applications back in the workplace.
Cross-Cultural EncountersA “culture-general” workshop in which participants explore the concept of culture, examine their own culture, recognize what happens during cross-cultural encounters and clashes, and acquire tools for increased cross-cultural effectiveness.
